Running from 3pm to 8pm, the free event features two themed areas: St David's "Peculiar" Place and the newly introduced Amy Dillwyn "Dark" Park at Copr Bay.
St David's Place will host a lively programme of children's entertainment supported by Flying Start, with music, games, roaming performers, and a fancy dress competition. Expect spooky surprises and plenty of laughs as costumed characters mingle with the crowds.
Across the ominous Troll Bridge, Amy Dillwyn Park transforms into a darker domain for older children and adults. This eerie enclave features terrifying walkabout acts including a Giant Troll, Zombie Zumba, the Invisible Man, and a host of monstrous hybrids. Visitors can snap selfies with giant inflatable tentacles and catch spine-chilling storytelling sessions by Mark Rees on Welsh folklore and haunted Swansea at 4pm and 7pm.
The Monster Mash-up Photo Trail links both zones, with eight creatures to discover and a prize draw offering tickets to Swansea City AFC, the Christmas Parade VIP area, and more. The fancy dress competition, hosted by Maleficent, takes place at 4.30pm with categories for all ages and prizes including Comic Con tickets, Laserzone passes and a cuddly toy.
Just a short broomstick ride away, Swansea Market will host Terror at the Market Garden from 11am to 4pm. Highlights include:
- Haunted Halloween Portraits (11am-3pm) at the pop-up studio
- Freaky Face Painting (11am-1pm)
- Creepy Cookie Decorating with CookStars (11am-12pm)
- Kelly & Debbie's Halloween Show (12pm-3pm)
- Trick or Treat Trail with hidden pumpkins and prizes
- Louby Lou Storytelling sessions at 12:30pm, 2pm and 3:30pm, featuring spooky guests like Mickey & Minnie and monsters Mike & Sully
Meanwhile, over in Mumbles, Oystermouth Castle will once again play host to a trio of haunting experiences. Spooky Castle runs during the day on 25 October with family-friendly activities, while The Dark Side of Oystermouth Castle offers guided evening tours from 16 October. On Hallowe'en night itself, the castle becomes a Haunted Castle Experience with live actors and special effects from 6pm.
